This selection is the first major milestone following project launch earlier this year
Pinnacle Project will provide support to the eight selected athletes and their support teams through tailored programs
HONG KONG, CHINA – The Pinnacle Project’s quest to uplift top Hong Kong athletes, and by doing so inspire fans and ignite local pride, has taken a significant step forward today with the announcement of its inaugural roster of eight top athletes representing Hong Kong.
A non-profit initiative operated in partnership with the GDCD Association, the Pinnacle Project is a fully athlete-governed sports fund with a mission to provide support to top homegrown talents.
Following a careful selection process including multiple rounds of consultations with the project committee, eight athletes across a variety of sports who truly embody Hong Kong’s grit, determination and tenacity have been selected from all of the applications received.
The Pinnacle Project has collaborated closely with these sports professionals - six of which are preparing for the upcoming 15th National Games - to create personalized programs providing supporting resources and guidance to assist them to sustain and build upon their already remarkable achievements.

Siobhan Haughey: Swimming
Four-time Olympic medallist (2020 Tokyo – two Silver; 2024 Paris – two Bronze)
Four-time World Championship (Short Course) Gold Medallist, including two Gold at Abu Dhabi in 2021
Two-time Asian Games Gold medallist

With Hong Kong’s wealth of athletic talent and potential, the Pinnacle Project is dedicated to providing experience-driven resources and guidance for elite sportspersons and their teams - playing a supporting role as they represent Hong Kong at the highest levels globally while serving as ambassadors and role models for their city.
Across the next 12 months, the Pinnacle Project will undertake a campaign which will follow these athletes throughout the year, providing the public with insight into both the joys and the struggles of their respective journeys as they represent Hong Kong on the world stage.
This campaign aims to stir lasting pride and support for these deeply committed athletes as they seek to represent Hong Kong at the highest levels. At the same time, it is hoped this promotion of sports culture will inspire and unify the Hong Kong public, as has been seen previously in the wake of Olympic and athletic success.
